To set up a PS Vita (PSV) VPN connection on your iPhone, you can use your iPhone as a Wi-Fi hotspot with VPN or configure a VPN-enabled router. Here’s how:
-
Enable VPN on iPhone
- Install a VPN app (e.g., NordVPN, ExpressVPN, ProtonVPN).
- Connect to your desired VPN server.
-
Turn on Personal Hotspot
- Go to Settings → Personal Hotspot and enable it.
- Set a Wi-Fi password.
-
Connect PS Vita to iPhone’s Hotspot
- On your PS Vita, go to Settings → Network → Wi-Fi Settings.
- Select your iPhone’s hotspot and enter the password.
- The PS Vita will now use the VPN connection from your iPhone.
⚠️ Note: Some VPNs may not share the VPN tunnel over hotspot. Test by checking your PS Vita's IP at IPLeak.net.
Method 2: Use a VPN-Enabled Router
If hotspot sharing doesn’t work, set up a VPN on a router and connect your PS Vita to it.
- Configure VPN on Router
- Use OpenVPN or WireGuard (supported by routers like ASUS, DD-WRT, or GL.iNet).
- Connect PS Vita to Router’s Wi-Fi
Your PS Vita will now route traffic through the VPN.
Why Use a VPN on PS Vita?
- Access region-locked PSN stores.
- Improve security on public Wi-Fi.
- Bypass network restrictions (if applicable).
